 The Florida Energy
Extension Service (FEES) is operated by the
University of Florida’s Institute of Food and
Agricultural sciences through the cooperative
Extension Service. FEES receive funding from the
Florida Energy Office, Department of Community
Affairs in Tallahassee.
Induction
Ranges
Induction ranges produce
almost instant heat, a magnetic field produced in
the heating elements, creates a current that
produces instant heat. Magnetic cooking utensils
must be used. Since this heat is produced
magnetically, only the cooking utensils and food
get hot, the cooking surface remains cool.
Traditional ranges add a great deal of heat to the
Kitchen. An induction range creates very little
heat and Keeps kitchen temperatures
lower. |
